“Door Opening Complexities in Healthcare & Behavioral Health Design”

Especially in healthcare design, doors and door hardware have a complex role to play.  Openings must be easily accessible, with quick egress to safety while providing security to protect people and contents.  Every building occupant encounters the doorways which can be both aesthetically pleasing and code compliant.  Add in behavioral healthcare challenges, sustainability contributions and threat protection – there is a lot to talk about.
